I don't think he is referring to them physically attacking them, he is referring to the possibility that their propaganda may sway their sexuality, whether or not one agrees that this is a possibility is a matter for the individual, I wouldn't care to comment.

How do you know what he was thinking? We can only go by what he said. He did not mention propaganda. He simply said, "Leave our kids alone".
As if gay people are going to have that at the top of their agenda when visiting Russia as either contestants or athletes.
Putin does not deserve my respect. He is making deliberately blurring the lines of paedophilia and homosexuality. Gays make an easy target in Russia.
