What...the...hell...is...going...on????

Okay, cards on the table (and you can criticise me for this, but I can understand how it can happen) - a woman sleeping with a 15 year old, or a 16 year student in her charge...is understandable.

But...this???

At 8 I'm surprised he could comply.
She obviously has mental issues not being able to tell right from wrong.
I was thinking the same thing OG. "Her parents have stepped in and are now building bridges"!!
Too eeky to even contemplate. At that age I didn't even understand all about the birds and bees. I wonder what she will be treated like in prison, most adults are naturally protective of children and they will be totally appalled by her actions.
She's obviously not the full shilling and needs help rather than punishment.

I do wonder what the equivalent sentence for a man would have been though (however limited his intellectual understanding was)?

Yes, I totally think that he brain is...mis-wired. I don't understand it at all.

I don't want to sound like I'm jumping on the 'Oohh...evil paedophile' bandwagon. It's not that. It just the sheer incomprehension of the crime. It...does...not...compute...
the link won't open - how long did she get? Under 10 and it's a disgrace, years that is.

She was a juvenile herself at the time she committed the offences, not excusing her at all, but just making clear that it wasn't a woman having sex with a child.
her age, hc?

She is now 21 but she started sleeping with the boy when she just turned 16. She stopped when realised it was wrong. I don't think she is the full shilling.
21 now, but 16 - 18 at the time.
Scary thing is that she is now a mother herself.
Over 16, sexually an adult in the eyes of the law...should have been much more in terms of sentence - with psychological help that is evidently needed - even though I can't see the article.
But in the eyes of the law she was a juvenile at the time of the offences and would not have been tried in an adult court.
