/// Some education for young disaffected youth concerning the appeal of guns, and the consequences of owning them would be appropriate - but that costs money, and the government won't want to pay, because successive governments will not put money where it belongs - in nursery education. ///
/// If you raise a generation of children to respect themselves, and each other, this problem will die out - but that costs money in the beginning of education, and government is obsessed with spending it at the other end. ///
Oh if was all so easy as that Andy, no amount of money thrown into education will put an end to all this, just look at all the sex education they receive today, does that stop them from taking contraceptive measures? No.
What about protecting the environment, they have enough lessons on that, does that stop them from destroying trees and plant life, throwing down their litter, spitting their gum on the pavements/ No.
If we could educate our youngsters in the way you suggest, do you honestly believe that in future generations, crime will become obsolete? If only.
