I have to admit, given all the rantings of the left to Bankers, their Bank does not seem to be doing too well at all.
Perhaps there is a God?

I have rarely seen an objective post from you, YMB - it is always coloured by some kind of insult to "the left".
As for your OP - you are thanking god for yet another bank in crisis? What a strange and partisan world you live in.
You do have a short memory. It was the banks - not the co-operative movement - that brought the globe to its knees and precipitated a global economic recession that we are only now - 6 years later - starting to see an end to. And it was the Co-op adopting free market and corporatist principles that got them into this mess in the first place.
Trying to portray this as a failure of the left when the free market principles all but beggared us in the first place is facile.

While it's a party of the left, the Labour Party does not "represent" the left anymore than the co-op bank does. All the Labour party represents is the labour party. So please don't use the co-op's links to Labour to suggest that the bank is somehow the epitome of left-wing banks that all left-wingers in the country love and adore. It's a bit ridiculous.
