Politicians are being held these days to rather stricter standards than most. Whether or not this is a good thing, it does mean that there is far less chance of people getting het up about what Charlize Theron says. A different role, and one that has different standards, and so there will be few or no posts clamouring for an apology.

rape 1 (rāp)
n.
1. The crime of forcing another person to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse.
2. The act of seizing and carrying off by force; abduction.
3. Abusive or improper treatment; violation: a rape of justice.
I think you only see the word as forced sex when clearly it has other meanings - one of which Charlize feels she is being subjected to.
