I never liked Sean Connery anyway
He was a Celtic fan then switched to Rangers
Says it all really
Please try to get your facts right Snafu03 concerning the Darien Scheme.

The English withdrawal of their financial backing was deliberately engineered to
ensure its failure, thus triggering the dissolution of the Scottish Parliament, which led to the Act of Union 1707 with England.

'' he was a celtic fan then switched to rangers '' , OMG .
How can you be a Celtic fan and then switch to Rangers?!?
'The English withdrawal of their financial backing was deliberately engineered to

True, but the English were forced to withdraw under pressue from the the English East India company - before Scotland bullishly decided to squander a large proportion of their economic assets in the scheme. The union was suggested long before this happened, but Scotland still unwisely went ahead purely based upon strong nationialistic motions.
Good on her !
How can you not like Sean Connery? No one does it better.
By the way, did anyone find out what 'it' was...?
Sean Connery was once described by Billy Connolly as the only Scotsman with tanned legs, due to his residency in that part of the Highlands called Greece.
So, Snafu, even three centuries ago, the government of England was at the beck and call of Big Business. Plus ça change, eh!

If you mean The spy who loved me, I think that was Roger Moore.

Anyway, I thought Connery was from Edinburgh, so he shouldn't be supporting Ranegrs or Celtic.

He also has a reputation as a wife beater. Just google it.
