I fear that this is never going to end.

On another point, Simon Danczuk, the MP for Rochdale, is going to give evidence to a Commons Select Committee, on July 1st. The committee are investigating the Elm Guest House child abuse affair, and Danczuk has said in the papers this weekend, that if asked, he will name a high profile politician who took part in sex parties at the guest house. Parliamentary Privilege will protect him from any legal claims.

I have a feeling that I already know who that politician is but I shall wait for Mr Danczuk to name him. There is a huge can of worms about to be opened here, which has every appearance of putting the Savile affair into the shade.

thing is mikey the person is innocent until proven guilty why should the press publish names

when names are printed or spoken about things get added on and no way does that person get a fair trial not to mention court costs

If you Google Elm Guest House Jomlett, there is a wealth of info to be discovered, including a list of names, some of which will surprise an awful lot of people ! A pet name for a cat for instance !

DrF ...you are right of course but somebody has to get the ball rolling. The Elm Guest House scandal has been hidden away for nearly 40 years, and unless something is done, then justice will never be served. Case of breaking eggs to make omelets it would seem to me.

MPs like Danczuk, Tom Watson and now Zac Goldsmith are now demanding some action, and not before time. There has been a super-injunction active for years about one of the people named, which has effectively stopped any investigation stone dead.

One of the mysterious elements in the case of Cyril Smith's paedophile activities was the involvement of MI5, and the suppression of evidence.
A cover-up in other words.

But when you read the list of names implicated in the Elm Guest House affair, its hardly surprising at all that the security forces are involved ! If this ever does get completely out into the open, its going to be like a lot of dominos all falling down at the same time. There are a lot of names on that list that are still hale and hearty.

I wish the Committee every success in its endeavours next week.
