Kathy Wiles, who had been selected as the party's candidate for Angus just 24 hours before, handed in her resignation this morning after tweeting an image of the Hitler Youth around a Nazi flag in relation to a protest outside BBC Scotland on Sunday afternoon.
Whether he'd like it or not I wouldn't know but I'm confident he'd not want you to lose your job or get banned from AB for saying it. I'm sure we're all aware that if this was a UKIP candidate the usual 'mob' would be all over this, expressing their disgust and demanding a police enquiry. (every day for the next fortnight)
Should the Ed now be made to resign over this in an earlier post? :0)

/// It is a bit of a wishlist - you'd think they'd cut the world up on ethnic/religious borders really, maybe swallowing up the odd holy site here and there - but no, they've just used the paint-fill tool on MS Paint to colour bits around the med black. Lazy really. ///
there's a huge difference with the Hitler Youth. They were a deliberate attempt to take kids away from home and indoctrinate them - if necessary, to betray their parents. They were to regard the Nazi state as their second parents, maybe even their first. Other youth groups were to be stamped out.
Quite a long way from taking your kids on a demo. Ms Wiles has invoked Godwin's law and paid the price. Comparing people you don't like with Nazis is seldom a good idea.
standard lefty stuff, rather than think of a good argument, simply insult those who have a diferent view to you. If that is a resigning issue then most of the Liberals and Marxists would have to follow suit!

Really? Got any examples of such a demand being made any time, anywhere?
It's getting so you can't put anything remotely controversial - however obviously humorous or appropriate - on twitter without having to first apologise and then later resign over it.
As long as at least one person claims offence is taken and demands an apology and resignation, that's pretty much what you have to do.
Public figures need to grasp that really, and think twice before posting anything.
Churchill used such a comparison in 1945, and ignored Clemmie's please ( that would be his wife ) to stop as it wasnt going down well. He lost the election
