A lady in Birmingham has given birth outside Primark. Photo-taking well wishers donated £300 -£400. Is this a craze about to start. If you give birth outside Waitrose, will you need your own private obstetrician? :)

Nothing very interesting I'm afraid Anne, my Mum has quick labours and wanted a home birth, which because my brother was an unusually big baby they didn't think was a good idea, so despite her warning them she probably wouldn't get to the hospital they still thought it was better for her to try so I was born in an ambulance in the middle of Clifton Suspension Bridge. The nice things is apparently the ambulance man was retiring that week and he was really sad he'd never delivered a baby, then I turned up on his penultimate shift:)

I was born in London's East End. My brothers were born later in the same ward where I found out that the windows overlooked the River Lea navigation and a big dark blue sign with white lettering that said Bow Locks. My life has been much like that since then.
