Amazing we take in these Somali refugee parents and their 11 children to protect them from dangers in their own land, only for three of them to leave the safety of this country so as to put their lives at risk fighting for yet another country.

Also gets one to ask yet again, how can one tell a moderate Muslim from an extremist one?

One can't.
We are told that Asian families are very close knit family units.
I believe it is about time that HMG delivered a warning to all our guests in this country who enjoy the sanctuary and benefits to take more notice in their offspring's intentions.
I believe a clear message must be sent out that any person who enjoys the hospitality of this country will forfeit that right if they engage in any terrorist related acts and threaten the security of this country upon their return. All family members should also be repatriated to their country of origin without appeal.Perhaps this threat on them, for a change, might focus the minds of the parents on what their children are plotting.
It is only 6 months ago we were supporting the Syria freedom fighters and were going to get involved militarily until Cameron was stopped.

A large dollop of hypocrisy me thinks.
what about their human rights?

I thought the first bit of your post, "...any person who enjoys the hospitality of this country will forfeit that right if they engage in any terrorist related acts..." was fine. The above extension isn't. You don't have to be plotting anything evil to keep a secret from your parents. It's not irresponsible parenting to be unaware of everything your child is doing, so the family can't be held as guilty and so deported. That would be going far, far too far. Sadly in this case children are keeping the worst kind of secret from their parents -- but this isn't the fault of the parents for being unaware by any means. By the time children are plotting terrorist acts they're usually of an age where the parents should be taking a reduced responsibility for them anyway.
6 months, gromit? only last week he was talking of arming 'moderate' 'freedom-fighters' in Syria. I nearly fell of my chair when I heard it.
Would hard line jehadists allow women to join the fighting and killing? Isn't it their view that a woman's place is in the harem or the kitchen?
Quite so Svejk.

If Parliament had not have acted, it is quite clear that the British Army would be side by side with these school girls trying to overthrow the Assad regime.
retrocop, Somalians are African. Somalia is next to Ethiopia and Kenya
According to the link rumour has it they're wanted as wives.
jim360.
If I was a guest in this country I would,as a father, tell both my sons(aged 32 and 34)that if they involved themselves in any terrorist acts including leaving to fight terrorist wars in other countries, then, they would jeopradise the comfort and security that this country has afforded them.If they are so close knit and loyal family members they will refrain from abusing our hospitality and obey their parents wishes.Age of children is not an issue.Behave or be barred.
Thanks for the Geography lesson hc.It matters not one jot where our guests come from,Africa or Asia,My view still stands that anyone who abuses our hospitality and contravenes our laws, compromises our security will, with their families,be given notice to leave.
I am more concerned about the human rights of the native population of this country svejk not our guests. They chose to come here.
// including leaving to fight terrorist wars in other countries //

It is the stated aim of the British Government to remove President Assad and his regime from Syria. To that end, we are have encouraged and helped the Syrian rebels.

The three Somalis have travelled to Syria to remove Assad, our stated aim, so how is that terrorist activity? Why was it not terrorist activity then when Cameron wanted to send our young soldiers to die there?
Holding parents hostage to the good behaviour of their offspring* goes against one of the principles of our country's law going back to the medieval era!

* above age of criminal responsibility which might have to be reduced to about 10 to make some housing estates habitable again!

Retrocop,
What laws have they broken by leaving the UK to reside in Syria?
It has been reported that they were probably funded by a terrorist organisation to fly to Syria via Turkey.Any association with terrorist organisations is illegal is'nt it?
Have the parents/family of these named individuals openly condemned them and disowned them? That's what I would prefer to see so that they realise their family aren't supporting them in any way. Oh and that goes for any race/creed/colour et al, I am not being selective just in case one is accused of being racist or religionist - just thought I'd say :-)
Gromit
I don't recall any of our young soldiers dying in Syria or being sent there.Unless you know something about special ops that I don't know about.

That is because there was a vote in Parliament that Cameron lost. If he had have won, the coffins would undoubtedly be arriving at this very moment.

There is no evidence that the girls were supported by a terrorist group. A flight to Turkey costs £200. Not a great deal of money for a teenager to acquire legitimately.
