I agree with the independence movement's point of view that they should be able to manage their own affairs. As I heard one of them say once - 'I don't know if we can survive outside the union, but I believe we have the right to try'.

How on earth can an independent Scotland keep the pound when it will be the Bank of England that sets interest rates and monetary policy? What would an independent Scotland do if interest rates were set at 10 per cent and there were consequent difficulties in Scotland? Vote for independence a second time?
