Here's another LBJ..."“Boys, I may not know much, but I know chicken *** from chicken salad.”
Actually this is a famous misquotation.

What Milton actually wrote was "...nor hell a fury like a woman scorned"
Question Author
Obiter....wasn't it William Congreve instead of Milton ?

You are quite correct and I apologise for my lapse of memory. Somehow I had Milton's Paradise Lost stuck in my mind.
Question Author
Its OK Obiter...worse sins have been committed on AB than misquoting famous people !
its a laugh really because Indians are more likely to vote Conservatives, those who been here a long and made their mark, wealth, while the newcomers relatively speaking will likely vote Labour, look at Tower Hamlets as an example of the voting bias.
perhaps it was as suggested she was shoved into the job by Cameron, fast tracked, because she is a woman, asian, and from the north, a definite minority at least in political terms. However she shouldn't be bleating after coming a cropper over expenses, if she has a beef over issues she should have done it whilst in situ.

I still stand by her and I am not a natural Tory supporter. She has resigned on a matter of principle, which I admire. A person can only go on for so long, taking the Party whip, when that parties actions are so against their conscience. Just like others, she will return of course but in opposition next time.
let her, i have no respect for her, it was done to spite Cameron, if she had wanted to resign why not do so a lot earlier.
does she really think that Cameron is remotely able to intervene in this conflict, he has opinions surely, but to do what exactly.
Question Author
He could make a start by condemning Israel for its entirely disproportionate response to the Hamas rockets Emmie, which involved amongst many others, of shelling UN Schools, not once but three times.
he is looking at various leaders who are actively involved to solve this, he may not and why is that a total surprise openly condemn the Israelis, but read the whole piece - this is never a simple issue, the whole of the Middle East isn't easy to understand, and the relationships that have broken down didn't do so just recently, long and bitter history
