I wouldn't read too much into these results. I used to do YouGov surveys and I know less than nothing about politics and politicians.

A few months ago, Lord Feldman, a close ally of Cameron's, reputedly referred to Tory activists as "mad, swivel-eyed loons". Earlier, Cameron himself described UKIP as "a bunch of fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists".

With such closeness of vocabulary whilst referring to the two parties, Gromit, perhaps they ARE "much the same"!
