No, leave them in situ and provide the best care possible in that location/ continent. If you want to minimise the risk, don't import it.

From that link:
The Briton is "not currently seriously unwell", a spokesman said.
Health chiefs say the risk to the UK from the virus remains "very low".
Given that info, the patients status and supposed minimal risk, let's keep it that way! The cost of flying him home could be offset and almost similarly achieved by providing the best medical care in his current location.
Once this thing starts crossing continents, all bets are off.

Oh don't worry - I won't forget that comment. I told him at the time that it was beneath him, and I still feel that way.
However, that does not detract from the fact that NJ is head and shoulders above everyone else (with the possible exception of andy-hughes) when it comes to robust and factually water tight debating technique on AB.
Regarding my 18 posts (and I feel deeply honoured that you have taken the time out to count them) - you should discount those where I have simply been repeating my request for a response to your original question.

/// ..and once again AOG flounders on the rocks amongst a sea of disagreement and questions he can't answer. You really do bite off more than you can chew sometimes. ///
If I was floundering on the rocks (as you put it) why would you still be wasting your ammunition in the vain attempt to sink me.
No I am still water tight and afloat, more to your dismay.

With the safety protocols which are already in place, and considering that the disease profile has not mutated (it isn't airborne), don't you think that might be a little *over* cautious?

Not really sp. Plenty are infected with it over there and are having to cope so let's keep it that way, just give the Brit the very best we can and isolate him in a building of our own. An Iso container in the nearest embassy with a small team barrier nursing him would suffice.

I agree mostly with everything that has been said so far.
But I must admit to having slight concerns about the costs involved. We have heard several stories recently about certain drugs not being made available due to cost, but how much will this whole "operation" cost in the end? RAF flights and personnel, Police escorts, medical care and staff involved.
Just a thought.
