Couldn't we update and transfer that so that the number of points you scored on an IQ test would be considered before you were allowed to vote? After all, we have driving tests, don't we?

If the pointy heads in the SNP don't even know what currency they will be using after they break away, I doubt that they have even thought far enough ahead to take into account any financial meltdown. My best guess on this is that they will run to the International Monetary Fund in panic.
Another aspect of all this is if they vote to go, Scotland will cease being a Member of the EEC. Scotland, Wales and other parts of the UK have done very well out of EEC money in recent years, and that tap will be firmly turned off for Mr Salmond. So the IMF is their only choice.

Surely even the English wouldn't be daft enough to use nuclear weapons against Scotland if the latter became independent, would they? Consequently - even if Scotland currently had control - if it "relinquish(ed) control to a foreign power", it's to a foreign power who could do no harm with them. Not quite the same as handing them to ISIL, North Korea or whoever and, thus, perfectly logical.
