Sad times and no justice :(
must have been a good bung then.
Well he did sell several of his properties just the other week ToraToraTora ;)
not deliberately trying to kill her, then (which I always thought a possibility). Could still be manslaughter or whatever.
he hasn't been cleared of culpable homicide yet
As I expected. As I've said on here before, whether he had meant it or not there was always just enough plausibility in his version of events to plant a seed of doubt. It is impossible for anyone to say with 100 % certainly that he did do it in a fit of pique.
Throughout the trial the judge appeared to have some sympathy for him, particularly when Nel pressed him when he appeared to be in distress.
We now await decisions on lesser charges.
As Fluffy said, not in the clear yet. If you read through the Judge's reasoning for her verdicts it follows through the reasons why.
When you're sleeping with someone and you hear a noise the first thing you do is nudge the person next to asking "Can they hear that" not jump up and firs several times through a door "Screaming like a woman" which he said did which funnily enough covers his tracks regarding witnesses hearing a woman screaming on the night she was brutally murdered.

This is the Oj Simpson trial all over again. If you're rich or a celebrity you walk but if you're poor and unknown it's the electric chair for you.

Sad times we live in.
It's nothing like OJ. OJ denied murder.
So even though none of you attended the trial you all think he is guilty?
he hasn't walked..... he's still waiting the verdict
Ratter....he killed her.
I didn't attend the trial but read newspapers and seen the news and could see he was guilty imo form a mile off.

The 2 facts I posted above are just 2 examples that point to his guilt along with his court room dramatics of fainting, crying and vomiting.
OJ case in a different ball park. No denial that Pistorius was at the scene nor that he killed her. LA Police through ineptitude and poor crime scene preservation/management were never able to place Simpson at the scene.
Pistorius killed her, the main issue was whether it was in hot blooded temper or as a result of mistaken identity.
The judge has gone with his version of events, which was always on the cards for the reasons I posted previously.
Nobody is saying he didn't kill her Henrietta. He could still go to prison for 15 years if he is found guilty of culpable homicide, i.e. manslaughter.
my ditty and serious point on the definitions of murder and CH in S.Africa

Masipa says Pistorius acted “too hastily and used excessive force … It is clear his conduct was negligent.”

And with that, court adjourns for the day!

From what colleagues have told me of their experiences of living in South Africa that is pretty much EXACTLY what you'd do:
