How are UKIP going to lower income tax, without any MP's in Westminster ?

A repeat of my post on the other thread on this subject: The devil is in the detail. Until I knew precisely how they were going to fund this, I would be sceptical. I would also like to know the details of all their other policies which seem wooly at best. If you do a little digging you will see that UKIPs tax policy changes with the wind, so don't be surprised if you vote...

Bookies don't seem to give UKIP much of a chance next May ::

Neither do any of the Polls, but I expect they are all wrong !

So no different to a promise someone made on tuition fees then? They(all parties) may make all sorts of pledges prior to May so it's unfair to single UKIP out and IMHO to the undecided, or those sick of the same tired old policies of the 'main' parties and failed legislation to deal with immigration and border control, UKIP are looking very appelaing right now, as was borne out in the Euro elections.

They were given (by many 'experts') a snowflakes chance in a furnace last May too.

So chill, you agree it's just a vote winner with no substance then and that UKIP are just like all the rest. So why even consider voting for them?
----------------
On the contrary, it looks sensible and if we stop pi$$ing money away on foreign aid(millions to India, who subsequently sent a rocket to Mars) I'd hazard a guess it's do-able.
And even if it wasn't, as they are 'just like all the rest' why not give them their shot at it, like all the(failed) others have?

//Why not give them a shot at it// a) because, despite their public image, they have a dark side not a million miles away from the far right b) they change their policies like the wind c) they have a very flakey manifesto which, incidentally, they promised to galvanise at the conf (let's wait and see) d) they have never run a country and do not have the understanding of the larger political picture to do so.
If you want to vote for a Party like that, you're free to do so. Ain't democracy wunnerful.

Put your trust in this lot Zacs by all means:

Farage would have Miliband for breakfast on pretty much every issue, that's why he declined a debate with him at every opportunity some 12 months ago.
I'm not expecting UKIP to be running the country next May, but then I'm not expecting Labour to either.
Are you?

"Would you really trust all that "running the country" implies, like health, education, transports, welfare, defence, etc entails to UKIP ? Really ? "
well fools like you blindly do it where labour are concerned, yet a brief look at the history books will show how useless they are and the state always left the country in.
thanks to labour this country is still up to its ears in debt and well on its way to losing its identity thanks to its deathwish where immigration is concerned.

UKIP's continuous popularity, although still minor, never ceases to amaze me Zacs. I heard Farage being interviewed this morning on the Today Program, and he was asked which way he would be voting today in Parliament, if he was actually there, which he isn't ! This man would go to the opening of a paper bag.
Naomi do you presume UKIP supporters are the 'uneducated masses' just to support your debate? I'm private school educated, earned a MSc Hons at Birkbeck and am a UKIP supporter. I hate to burst your bubble but I am at the moment at the Conference and last night attended the Patrons Gala Dinner and can honestly say there were no tattooed thugs, no closet racists and most people I spoke to were University Educated.
Chili...to answer your last question at 09:02, the Bookies expect Labour to win next May. Not by a huge margin, I will admit, but Bookies are rarely wrong are they ?
Still lots of time to go for dave to get ahead in all the Polls I suppose ...currently still lagging behind Labour by 6 points. But has he left it too late ?

Really? So if last May is a yardstick, so does an awful lot of the electorate!
I believe you're confusing serious concerns from the man in the street about immigration and EU interference and control with Mosley's blackshirts. Never mind.
