When I found out I cried, I cried for the little boy who used to come for sleep overs, but had big ideas abut joining the military (he was an officer) to 'make a difference. His life ended in a couple of seconds by a snipers bullet. He was not fighting to save Britain, like our troops did in WW2, and I truly believe that the United Nations presence in Afghanistan has made little difference and within a few months the Taliban will be back. The British army has trained up the Afghanistan army, but at the first instance they will do what the Iraq army did and turn tail. What a total waste of time, lives and money. RIP mathew x
