"Nothing sinister, just a man in the wrong place at the wrong time", "Briefly arrested", "No threats were made", "man's details were checked", "de-arrested" and allowed on his way.

Ah now that is nice, such a typical English approach.

His Security Team should be back on the Beat tomorrow, hopeless!

///The PM spotted the approaching runner before his security team
Mr Cameron took a step back before calmly walking to his waiting car
After being shoved the PM was still left on his own before getting in vehicle///

Ooh, not good.

I have looked at this 2 or 3 times and I still can't work out what is going on, but if this "jogger" was a real terrorist, Nick Clegg would in total charge this afternoon, methinks ! What were daves security chaps thinking of ?
It would be interesting to see what was written on this 'joggers' shirt.
//Nick Clegg would in total charge this afternoon//

Now that IS frightening!

Is that security fella next to Cameron doing his karate / kung fu pose ?
The security lapse is appalling.

Anyone who is close enough to shove the PM is close enough to stab him.

And had that been the case, a back-up assassin could have calmly stepped in and finished the job while Cameron's security people were all looking at what could have been a diversion for the real assassination attempt to be acted out.

Looks like a poor attempt at a 'Block' to me, more to protect himself than the PM!
No security on our borders, no security for our P.M. we are fast becoming a third world country.
/crossed the pavement towards the Prime Minister, clutching a white towel. /

Those Indian Restaurant waiters are very diligent aren't they?

It's pretty bad. The whole point of the security men is to stop people getting that close without being intercepted.
Blackadder...I may be wrong here but I would expected that Mrs May would be standing right behind Cleggie, if the worse had happened today...very, very closely indeed ! Breathing down his neck even !
The jogger had, Tintagel, tattooed on his shirt. Hardly, defamatory.
Frightening lapse by the security, can you imagine Bazzas boys letting that happen? What a shambles, however let me relax the main fear here, Cleggie may be deputy PM but he would not be PM if the PM that would be inheritant leader of the Tory party under their rules, probably party chairman until they elect a leader properly. The post of Deputy PM does not actually exist it is one of those made up positions used from time to time whan expedient to do so.
/The jogger had, Tintagel, tattooed on his shirt. Hardly, defamatory./

can't be too careful, he might have been concealing a slightly rusty sword
That was no jogger. When have you ever seen a 'Crusty' jogging? He`s some sort of activist.
//I may be wrong here but I would expected that Mrs May would be standing right behind Cleggie, if the worse had happened today...very, very closely indeed ! Breathing down his neck even !//

That's all right then, not so frightening after all.

"Probably party chairman" might have taken over if Cameron had been harmed. Good grief! Does that mean we might have had Grant Shapps AKA running the country? Dear, oh dear, oh dear!
I don't remember this much fuss when Ted Heath had a tin of red paint thrown over him as he left signing up to the Common Market.
