Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Like The Boys!
I thought that we were making some headway with the equality of the sexes. Much has changed since I was at school and was allowed to study 'girl' things like sewing and cooking (I am useless at both).
So I don't understand where this decision comes from. There is always the possibility that the Daily Mail has twisted an incident or two into a news story - but surely a reputable newspaper wouldn't do such a thing. :-)

And before anyone goes on about equality amongst the sexes, there will never be equality while the Guides ban boys and male leaders from joining their organisation.

>>>"And before anyone goes on about equality amongst the sexes, there will never be equality while the Guides ban boys and male leaders from joining their organisation."
If this is true then it is wrong. Equal opportunities should work both ways.
I don't agree with your first paragraph - but it doesn't matter because the girls are there already. I am sure that my niece is a scout - or was it a cub? She is almost 11.
****maggiebee - I am away to finish reading my Scottish Mail on Sunday. I read 'some' of it but not the sport or politics.

Allowing them off car cleaning duties is clearly favouritism and sexist.
I agree when each gender had their own exclusive club it was pure insanity to play the "sexist" card to force the boys' club to take in girls. Surely they could go find a mixed gender club if that's what they wanted rather than spoil it for those who wanted and chose to join a single gender club.
