Lets hope she gets it right this time, because its been a God-awful balls up so far. Why didn't she meet the victims months ago ?

How about a retired high court judge from one of our former colonies to chair the enquiry?
I'm thinking in particular of Pakistan. The bench there is noted for its steadfastness and impartiality.

As this Enquiry ever gets off the ground, it is going to rake up an awful lot of dirt, and arrests will surely follow, so perhaps we might as well appoint a High Court judge in the first place.
I don't think much will be done this side of the General Election. Consultation with the victims will take time, then we are in electioneering mode.
Don't expect this to go anywhere fast.

she really should resign, who in their right mind is going to agree to be chairperson now ??
No matter who is picked someone will find an objection.

And surely you can't let the victims dictate either, if it is to be impartial and not seen as a witch hunt?
If only there was someone in the country who was not a personal friend with someone who was in Margaret Thatcher's Cabinet in the 1980s. Alas, that criteria rules everyone out.
