Looking at Breakfast this morning & the suggestions putting extra Glass in the Cab of HGVs, there are two Issues here, the first, security when the truck is left overnight, No 2 / in a accident although the glass will be Toughened there is every chance that this could fly out and hurt some, there is enough room on the mirror body to fit a sensor that detects Cyclist, If there was a sensor fitted as part of the construction of the helmet that could give a signal to the driver' s Mirror Sensor that there is a bike below & out of the driver's vision ( Blind Spot), a lot of HGVs are now fitted with Insurance Accident Camera's, this device could be linked into the system, this would save lives.
This will probably be my next purchase(or a similar, cheaper version) and would be a good addition to any cyclists kit, particularly as shorter days and winter draw in.
