I think the person who deserves a mention is the Rochester sweet shop owner, who predicted a UKIP win, but by nothing like the margin many were predicting. And he was dead right. Get that man n the BBC election night team with his bulls eyes.

And I can't help noticing that Hairy Knorm of the MRLP trounced the BNP candidate Fransen by nearly a hundred votes in admittedly a low-scoring contest :-)
