I'm waiting to see someone hang the EU flag out of their window. Should I hold my breath? "

yes please I'll be back in an hour lol!
For years the first thing I've done when get a new car is change the number plates for ones with the Cross of St George on and if anybody doesn't like it they can get stuffed,It's the flag of my country and I'm and I'm proud to fly it.
I will now be buying one as soon as I get back to UK - and flying it!
The fortunes of the English flag changed drastically in 1996, when England staged Euro 96. There was a large and very welcome push by ordinary English people to reclaim the flag (and ditch the Union Jack) as a symbol of support for the National team. It was quite a story at the time
Before then the flag had indeed been seen as a symbol of the far right.
Extremists love a bit of flag waving of course, but so do many other people.
Alice ...rest assured...there is nothing whatsoever racist about flying a flag outside your house. I resume you mean the flag of St George. Where I live in Wales, I see a fair amount of Welsh Dragons being flown and waved. Again, no problem.

However, if you fly a swastika instead, be prepared for some flack...but I expect you knew that already didn't you !
I would fly the flag of England but do not have a pole, our local plumber is English.
DTC...it must be awfully dark in that house, with all the windows blocked up...think of the lecky bill !
DTC ( part two )

I have just noticed that the big silver Estate car outside that house has foreign plates !
talking of swastikas, there this house in Swansea

LOL DTC. Actually this house could be any one of hundreds in my home town....wonky roof, plastic windows, etc.
Absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever. The use of the word 'racism' is too carelessly bandied about it is both tedious and pathetic.

racism,

that dear sweet white haired old man from WIgan
opened his mouth on the subject of jews making money, Asians and the rest

and I had to check it wasnt April 1st.
racist, don't know.. tacky ,, yes .
Nothing stopping you flying the cross of St Andrew, anne.
no there is not tony, but I would not have it flying from my windows :)
