Just flashing up on Sky News that 2 days after being struck by a delivery, Phil Hughes has sadly passed away.
Australia and the cricketing world mourns, such dreadful news.

I'd imagine he deliberately bowled at the batsman's head (you are allowed to) so I'd suggest he's not totally without blame.
ludwig...I don't think that comment was necessary...he will be feeling terrible..bowlers do not intend to maim with their deliveries !
Just stating the facts Murray. Obviously they don't intend to maim or kill, any more than boxers do when they punch each other, but when you deliberately target someone's head with a fist or rock hard ball at high speed, you can't claim to be completely blameless if the person on the receiving end suffers an injury or worse.
