This chap made a valiant effort to defend his racist Party, but ultimately failed. The best thing the BBC ever did was to allow the odious Nick Griffin on to Question Time 5 years ago. Perhaps they should do the same with "Britain First" !

Dreadful. Well done to mikey I say for reminding us of the shocking nature of these people. I suspect Farage won't have appreciated the plug for his party from that particular quarter as a matter of fact... At least the BNP did have a few seats so probably deserved a bit of airtime, but I see no reason why BF should be accorded the same publicity. 56 votes and all...

I have just watched the BBC Clip again and the longer the interview goes on, the deeper Mr Darby digs the hole he is standing in. Is it any wonder that organisations like the BNP find themselves on the receiving end of so much ire and revulsion.

Here's another BNP Member, digging yet another hole !

I can not understand your obsession with the BNP; they are nobodies and will never have any effect on the body politic. If I held your views (which I don't) I would have all my guns firing at UKIP - they are the ones to watch.
Anyone else seeing Mikeys reply on white background instead of the usual yellow from the Question Author?
No, it's what I would call a salmon pink background.

Obsession Blackadder ? What "obsession" ? Politics of every sort are discussed on AB every day, by everybody...why are you having a go at me !

The BNP is having its annual conference this weekend, in Blackpool, so I can't see what is wrong with discussing the Party today.

You say that you don't hold my views Blackadder. Well, my view is that the BNP is a racist organization, which needs to be ridiculed and exposed at regular intervals, so that it never gets into power ever again.

So if you don't hold my views, what are your opinions on the BNP ?
I agree entirely with everything you say about the BNP. What I do not agree with are your pro European, pro Labour views. My point was that they are under attack from UKIP, who will be far more successful than the BNP.
Apologies, the background is there. (I had changed my screen contrast too much :-)

Blackadder...then we appear to be singing from a similar songsheet, at least as far as the BNP is concerned. I can't promise to change my pro-European and Labour views however !

On a slightly different tack, I have warned about the rise of the Far Right many times on AB over the last few years. The Far Right is on the march all over Europe, as well as here in Britain. I personally never thought I would see the day when Nazis are looking for votes again in Britain. It seems that Mosley and the Blackshirts are a lesson that has been forgotten.
Mosley got short shrift. The far right in Europe are a minority and always will be. No need to fear them. Anyway, once we are out of Europe, God willing, it won't be our problem.
Question Author
Blackadder...with the greatest of respect, we certainly do need to fear the Far Right in Europe ! They have arrived and taken root, and they are growing fast.

Mikey,

Is there a genuine question that invites an answer which is what this site is about or is this thread necessitated by your personal need to ridicule and expose at regular intervals?

There are only so many ways to skin a cat!

Just keeping the pot bubbling over agchristie !
I see Mikey.

I wonder if the BNP conference is in the Tower Ballroom at Blackpool?

If so, I wonder what steps will be taken?
The most shocking (and, frankly, scary) thing I find about Mikey's question is that...........it was five years ago. FIVE YEARS!!!

I can remember watching it and thinking what a pillock he was, but hand on heart, I'd've sworn on my mortgage that was only a couple of years ago!
Amazingly, it was five years ago.

Mikey, you can't let all this weigh on your mind when you have been to the Turkish barbers to lighten the load!

Divebuddy,

Yes, there must be many suffering from RSI!
Dreadful.

56 votes and all that :-)
Ichkeria,

Well, it would appear from Mikey's own words about the rise of the Far Right that he is clearly sweating worse than Nick Griffin did on QT....
Mikes has a bit of a distorted political view. Or hadn't you realised?
