if you are establishing a new nation:
don't build it on the enforced blood, sweat and misery of millions of people plucked from another culture
don't routinely murder, rape and abuse them for 300 years
then free them into socially deprived circumstances where you continue to abuse and repress them with the support of a biased legal system
if you do
don't expect that within another 50 years you'll have a stable society full of reasonable, contented and non-embittered people

Yes it all seems inhumanity towards the black fellow, due I suppose to the way they were treated in the past, but then again all other peoples were treated pretty bad in days long gone by.
Yet they are not all squeaky clean as some would have us believe, just as all other peoples of varying skin colours are not all squeaky clean.
It would seem that being black one should be above reproach and anyone who dares to oppose them or even criticise them are immediately classed as racist.

I'm surprised it has not been suggested that these poor Afro/Americans have not been given a fair chance and have to resort to robbing stores and dealing drugs and muggings.
As the US law enforcement are now labelled as racist thugs then some lefties in the states should go out to the likes of Michael Brown and his ilk and invite them to join the police.Just to address the balance.. No hope and Bob Hope or should that be dope.

That's not actually true is it aog?
So far as I can tell my ancestors of a hundred or so years ago lived modest but contented lives in the Welsh and English countryside. They may have been hard at times but only compared with today. Most people then knew no different. They were in their own country and free. No one had the right to murder or rape them with the sanction of the Law.
I expect your ancestors had similar experiences aog.
And I can personally remember the early 60's (just about)
So far as I recall, my family weren't forced to use separate, inferior facilities (buses, washrooms, cafés) rather than those used by other ordinary people; at pain of assault or even death.
Were you aog?
If you were, fair enough, your point isn't ridiculous.

/Do tell, I'm dying to hear your genius view./
Don't try snide svejk
It is even more demeaning than whingeing about being 'bullied'
Clearly, (all) Americans have to deal with the situation as it is now.
A 'get out of jail free card' is nonsense, but the incompetence of the Police who choked someone to death trying to arrest him for a minor misdemeanour doesn't help. (isn't that what Tasers were invented for?)
The situation of social dysfunction the USA has created is probably unprecedented. It may mature out of it - it is still a young nation. It may fragment before it has the opportunity.

Brown was justifiably shot. The other gentleman died whilst resisting arrest.Yes he could of been tasered and yes he could equally as well died as a result. He wasn't strangled or choked to death as some would like to say but he did complain of respiratory problems in breathing. He was, imo, rather obese and could of been a prime candidate for a cardiac arrest. As you say it was a minor misdameanour for which he had been previously arrested. He knew he was breaking the law but still proclaimed the police were picking on him when confronted. Why. Because he was black or because he was breaking the law? The US police call it zero tolerance regardless of race, colour, or creed and the same law applies to all US citizens. The race card does not seem to work there as they find to their cost.
/Zehul, you hate the British, you hate the Americans/
that is a very stupid post. I had thought you were marginally more intelligent than that. or are you just trying to 'troll'. If so, sorry, i'm not biting. I have better things to do than play your silly games.
I have described difficult situations factually. Please show where i have ever expressed hatred for either 'the British' (which i am) or indeed the Americans.
If you can't substantiate my supposed expressions of hatred, do yourself a favour; grow a pair and retract your accusation.

i'm sorry you choose to try and distract from what was clearly a shoddy and negligent piece of policing.

as you should know, deaths from Taser are very rare.
/He wasn't strangled or choked to death as some would like to say/
He was suspected of a minor misdemenear, he was large (much larger than any of the officers and he was non-cooperative. So it was obvious he was likely to resist arrest.
The officers did not show due diligence to their own well-being or that of the man they wanted to arrest, when they wrestled him to the ground mob handed, with several officers on top including one exerting a choke hold. Obviously, if you can't breathe you struggle more - not less.
He was alive. They wrestled him to the ground. He was dead.
Criminal negligence.
No wonder the Mayor of New York has warned his mixed race son to watch his step if he ever has any dealings with those 'not fit for purpose' police officers.
