This could be the biggie ::::::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-30534235

if it links up with the Elm Guest House investigations, than this could blow the roof off some very important places. Lets hope this investigation isn't sabotaged by MI5, as the others have been in the past.

The question in this and the direction in which this will go as to due arrest and legal process versus the garbage bin is if witnesses come forward to corroborate the 'star' witness. The police have asked for this......

Currently it's very much 'altissima quaeque flumina minimo sono labi' which translates to 'still waters run deep.'

mikey can you call retrocop by his full user name because I certainly do not want to be confused with this 'man'
-thanks x
A UKIP/Labour coalition on the horizon here!!! You might change your tune at a later date when you have been subjected to his rudeness as others have on AB. Just because we may have the audacity to disagree with any of his posts. I spend more time on the Crosswords Topic than the News Topic. More often or not we may disagree with another's answer but we all happily will agree to differ and if proved incorrect will happily admit our mistake. It is a subject that is conducted in a gentlemanly and ladylike manner. Do not hold your breath waiting for such courtesy to be afforded to you should you ever cross swords with mikey. He is NEVER wrong and can bring out the worst in people quite easily. He should have a health warning. You may learn one day.
Why are so many grown men sexually attracted to young prepubescent boys? I don't understand it and there's more and more of this thing coming to light. What's wrong with a beautiful sexy woman instead? i just don't get it at all.
dave50, it has been so since the beginning of time. Some people are born that way, nobody chooses to be like that.

Retrochic....point taken ! I shall endeavour to do that in future, although as I am now ignoring anything he posts, the occasion will probably not arise again.

Apologies to you if I have put you in an awkward position though.
sad retrocop appears to be using this thread to '' have a go '' again at mike. :(
"sad retrocop appears to be using this thread to '' have a go '' again at mike. :(" - I agree with you anne and it needs to stop forthwith. In fact I have reported this upwards.

As to dave's comments, "Why are so many grown men sexually attracted to young prepubescent boys?," I have a theory that may be controversial.

Firstly, let's hope that it's only a very small percentage that we are talking about overall. However, I wouldn't be surprised that many of the men that do this to young boys are in fact victims of sexual abuse themselves, that the whole experience of being attacked and having another man in their rear subliminally twists many of them to such sex and in taking it through as gay sex on the next generation.

I've no proof to this but the comments of two people I know who were attacked, are not paedophiles, but have sympathised with this point of view, one of them rather graphically putting it, 'once you have experienced a man in you, you always crave it, either to receive or to give it.' Yes, he is gay, well bisexual in fact.

Anyway, in rooting out causes, perhaps this is one of the areas that needs looking at as counselling etc may be part of the solution in breaking the chain......
Samuraisan - "I just cannot understand how anyone can be a paedophile . I just can't . I think it's the most deplorable crime, the absolute worst. What on earth makes them like this ?"

Although the effect is far more horrible and damaging than comparable character traits, the roots of the impulses are the same as any other human impulse.

You can line up the impulse under the same list as - what makes some people like Marmite, or trainspotting, or opera, or eating offal ... the list goes on.

It is impossible to realistically put yourself in the mind set of someone who thinks differently about any of the above list - and paedophilia - because you would need to be that person, with their impulses and experiences, and of course, you are not.

So there is no simple answer to your question.

Because of the devastating damage that this predilection causes to its victims, and the innocence of those victims, it is very easy to slip into thought processes that involve labelling such individuals as 'monsters', and 'demons', and dreaming all sorts of elaborate an painful revenges.

Before anyone starts foaming at the mouth, I neither defend or excuse such behaviour, I merely seek to answer the point made by Samuraisan - there is no reasonable explanation, because it is not the behaviour of a rational mind, and trying to rationalise it will go nowhere, except to hurt your head.
DTC if what you say is correct and as hc says, it has been going on since the beginning of time then does that mean that it may be considered 'normal' human behavior for some men because it is in their genes? Homosexuality is now acceptable which once wasn't. Doesn't the same principle apply? I hasten to add, I find the whole thing sickening but I am just trying to look at it in an unemotional point of view for discussion purposes.

Anneasquith...I am now ignoring him, so I will have to accept your word for that. I have made a complaint, so we will have to see how its goes.

Thanks though !
dave50, it is normal for them.
It could be genetic and that needs exploring, my own feeling is that it is a response mechanism in a deep-seated psychological way to their own 'youth' experiences.....maybe similar to violence from parents (usually a father) on kids transposing itself.....
Yes Mickey, once again you make a big thing about ignoring someone you disagree with.

Retrocop has a point, why would you reprt it upwards dtc? Or us it only allowdd for tge right-on to post their views singularly now?

As to the op,we will have to wait and see. I gave a syspicion like gromit that the police gave nothing concrete, as with most of tge yewtree. This nay well be because the evidence,if tgere was any,has been removed, could also be there isnt any or very little.

Personally I hope all of this does not take mo ey and resources from current day paedophikes and victims still abused as we speak.
Isn't that evident by what's been written by him on here.....

Of course, he is entitled to make a point, even if mikey disagrees with it. However many of his remarks are, how do we put it, snide and risk being insidious, and picked up on by others here too. He doesn't have to descend to making it a personal attack, plain and simple.
Retrocop,

You memory is playing tricks on you.

// I recall too much information being divulged by the police in their investigation in the Lawrence murder investigation and the Daily Mail splashed the suspects names over the front page and the trial collapsed as did the subsequent private prosecution. //

1994: The private prosecution came first but failed to convict.
1997: The Daily Mail printed its famous 'Murders' cover headline.
2012: Trial and successful prosecution of Dobson and Norris.

Far from the Daily Mail fouling things up, they actually did a great public service by printing their names and photographs and challenging them to sue.

Thank you for your contribution. I am gratified that someone else can see that just because I have a point and it differs to the posters point of view then it is dismissed or is met with rudeness. I actually feel quite contrite that I have caused offence to other ABers on this site. Like some cry baby's when some one stands up to them and just won't let them have their way they go crying to auntie. I don't tolerate rudeness when, right or wrong ,I have an opinion to express on this site and believe me I will fight fire with fire.As the saying goes," They have sowed the wind and now will reap the whirlwind." Unlike some I will not be cowed or told I am posting drivel,as I and others have on other sites by a pompous ,bombastic, rude little man with an over inflated ego. Agree to differ with me by all means as a gentleman should but don't treat me with rudeness and contempt or it will be passed back in shed loads.
I will again apologise unreservedly and sincerely to any one else and the Ed who may of found offence by what I have written on this thread but I can't apologise for fighting my corner and sticking up for myself.

I cannot see where retrocop has been anything less than genuine on this thread (apart from the comment 'He should have a health warning. You may learn one day') which, if you're playing the 'whiter than white' card he should have refrained from but it's hardly anything to get excited about. I've seen far worse from retrocop's critics.
Thanks again divebuddy and Zacs-master
If you had met some of my colleagues and peers they might tell you that ,actually, I am quite a nice person to know. As you agree with the criticisms of the poster and I am not alone then may I explain the "health warning" comment. My blood pressure goes through the roof when met with the remarks you mention divebuddy. It certainly isn't because I am whiter than white. I make mistakes and I admit them when they are POLITELY pointed out to me.
Well I now await my fate on AB. The Sword of Damocles hangs over me.
I have made my unreserved apologies and will take whatever comes on the chin and not, like some cry babies ,weep in my gripe water.
