I never thought I would ever be in a position to write a sentence that includes both 'Thatcher' and 'sex toys'. What are your thoughts on this?

Please be careful of your posts concerning Leon Brittan, especially if you are going to comment on the irony of his involvement.

He is still alive, so libel laws are very applicable.

Believe it or not, sp ....I have never had any thought on 'Thatcher' and 'sex toys'.

Dare I read more?
No thoughts.

He looked shifty and worried the last I saw of him. (That's fair comment isn't it?)
I don't know if you're old enough to remember Section 28, sp1814

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_28

She was a strange person, that one.

Sorry, I meant "She was the saviour of her country".
Nothing very 'strange' about section 28, at least not to normal people.
Supporting the Paedophile Information Exchange like senior members of the Labour Party did, now that is 'strange'.
No comment. Best to keep quiet on some matters otherwise our beloved AB just may get into trouble and I, for one, don't want that.
This is a bit of a non story.

Thatcher had a bit of a rabbit with Mary Whitehouse and then nothing happened.

Brittan is a Barrister so he he looked at the legal aspects of reinterpretting the existing decency laws and concluded it could be done.
Couldn't be done.
Sex toys??????

There are no wheels on any of them.
Is that how you prefer your sex toys AOG. Of course the wheels did come off for Thatch eventually :-)
She considered it, didnt do it. Bu then again I guess listening to others is a strange concept for lefties and right-on liberals.

Would have been a bit pointless anyway. According to my daughter (A&E Doctor) carrots have been the fave toy judging by the number she has removed recently. Oh and a funnel too!

///at least not to normal people.///

Normal people svejk??
even Cameron apologised for Section 28 years ago (but perhaps it was that wicked Clegg forcing him to do so?). Good to see proper Tory hardliners prepared to defend it to their dying day, though
I thought that ALL women either use sex toys or have used them. Some are available for the home and others designed to carry in the hand bag.

A non story.
Yes, normal people, balders. You want homosexuality 'promoted' in infant schools, do you?
Svejk - "Yes, normal people, balders. You want homosexuality 'promoted' in infant schools, do you?"

What's going on today?

Ha someone started a competition - let's see who can make something else out of what a posters says, which is not there, inferred or intended, and then call them out on it as though it is their view?

If so, we have a couple of contenders for first place already!
For a short while on reading the page title I was wondering if this was a delightful variant on the "Putin my Ass" Vladimir Putin-shaped butt-plug. Yes, that is a thing.
Oh dear.....another one who has difficulty in telling 'mentioning' and 'promoting' apart....
I liked the remark she made about William Whitelaw: every Prime Minister needs a Willie!
Thought this thread was going to be about the dangers of playing while you work for roofers.
