Eddies says that Islam forbids any representation of a God or prophet.
Naomi refutes that by saying there are plenty of representations of Mohammed in days gone by.
Does that not reinforce my argument that the adherents of Islam are not singing from the same hymn sheet which I have been stating previously.
If the Muslims do not know which book that Allah says they should follow then no wonder that terrorists can manipulate their reasoning for the barbaric brutality that they exercise today from days of the Stoneage.
Clearly a religion with no straight path to follow and one that should be rightly treated with suspicion. The adherents of Islam cannot get their act together and LIE STRAIGHT IN BED.
Christianity perpetrated some nasty stuff - Muslims haven't burned anyone at the stake or emulated the Spanish Inquisition.

The difference is that Christianity has matured, while Islam has stayed frozen in the dark ages

for chrissakes there are two main flavours - Shia and Sunni and they have been at each others throats for god knows how long in Syria and Iraq

Shia and Sunni are basically tribal warlords who are in fighting for many a year.
Now Islam has escalated into Global terrorism under the religious banner.
I couldn't give a toss which tribe wishes to have the monopoly in poppy growing or other nefarious activities.I just don't want them to spread their pernicious evil in the western civilised modern world
Before you jump down my throat with a correction. I am well aware that the poppy growth and harvest is in the domain of the Muslim warlords in Afghanistan and not Syria and Iraq.
Venator,
Precisely why I talk about the atrocities by the terrorists in the name of Islam in the "Modern" civilised world.I cannot defend the deeds of Christians and Catholics long ago.As you rightly say Christianity has matured but Islam remains in the stone age.
Zeuil, Ichkeria,Jim. Are you guys OK?
Apology for the misspelling, Z.
Honest answer shoot the ***
Quite honestly we are a Western society who allows discussion of everything including religion. Murder in reply is not acceptable:-(
Mass murder.

Mass murder in reply is not acceptable....
## Mass murder in reply is not acceptable....##

I agree shoota,

So instead,,,,,,, just stop Muslims coming to Europe, especially the UK
Just on news - apparently a suspect has handed himself in.
An 18 yr old, not one of the two brothers suspected of being the shooters.
Retrochic /// Svejk this is not the time for false 'outrage' grow up. No one is saying its the victims fault.///
I can assure you there's nothing false about the outrage I feel.

Gromit /// Svejk
Now you seem to be calling anyone who disagrees with you, a moron. Why do you insist on making personal attacks? Do you not know the Site Rules? ///
Don't 'big yourself up', Gromit. What I said was that the cartoons were designed to offend the morons(the terrorists) and the defenders of the terrorists. And I stand by what I said.

// Im sure there will be demonstrations in the street against this kind of barbarity. No there won't I was being sarcastic. The usual left wing rent-a-mob will have their heads firmly buried in the sand.//

a suitably satiric comment by dave50 yesterday proven wrong by today

No they arent. Put your glasses back on and restart reading about it

Back at Mohd's deathbed - yes way back then, he said that his successor should be the one nearest to him. Civil war broke out between the nearest in blood ( Sunni ) and the nearest theologically ( Shia ) -- who thought that Ali his son in law and cousin should be the leader

nothing really to do with tribes
but more a power struggle
