Seems to be the woman who is on the run - fortunately the French have forbidden the burkha. I cannot but admire the citizens of the civilised western world who have shown such great restraint in not showing some retaliation, thus far, in light of these savage atrocities in the name of Islam. No firebombing of mosques, muslim restaurants etc etc. Suppose that is the vast difference between a modern civilised people and those barbaric savages who still live in the stone age and really have NO place in the world were they cannot try to live with others who will not have their evil religion forced on them.

I was very touched this afternoon (at CHU Poitiers) talking to Veronique - a nurse - (her son was demonstrating in Poitiers as we spoke) - she expressed such emotion and appreciation of the world-wide support - especially of the British reaction which has been widely publicised on French TV. Stop being an apologist for the undefendable ichkeria - nothing the French State has done (or indeed has not done) can in any way be said to have caused or justified this.

They are murdering criminals, carrying out atrocities in support of a mad, deluded view of what their religion says.

It needs absolute, clear, unmitigated condemnation from all Muslims if we in the non-Muslim community are ever to trust them again.

That condemnation currently seems to be patchy (at best) and entirely missing at worst.
