I applaud the enterprise but I cannot see many willing to pay on top of their council tax.

We have a large green bin for garden waste and food waste, a cream one for cardboard and paper, a red one for glass, plastic and tin cans and a black one for non recyclable. They are emptied every two weeks - but the black one is rarely more than 1/4 full. I can't understand why anyone would need any more
Lynda - that would depend on the amount of people living in the house.
I would not pay the extra, why? the poll tax should cover all that is needed of our House.
Already got 3 bins and pay too much in tax, I am confused enough as to what goes in which bin.

I'd be tempted if I could have my glass collected.

The only bin that ever gets near to full is the recycling bin. The general waste bin is rarely more than 1/3 full. Our collections alternate between general and recycling.
There are only two of us but my point is that none of the bins (except sometimes the paper one) is ever more than 1/4 full - we would have to be a family of eight to come anywhere near filling them all. And it's a long time since I saw a family it 8 near here.
Our green bin is in the house and is used to store our dog biscuits :)
Nope ! Definitely not.
They were going to charge £30 in my area but now they have scrapped that . What do we pay council tax for .?
I've just registered for the collections, it's cost me £160 for 6 months! http://www.burybins.co.uk/
