If anyone should complain it is those who want to buy a white doll, why are they more expensive?

I haven’t read the whole thread, but life before multiculturalism was simpler – but then life before political correctness, which we are now expected to adhere to in practically every walk of life, was simpler.
Yes - agree with mikey4444...this has been one of your more enjoyable threads AOG (I'm NOT being sarcastic).

More of the same please.

I think life was simpler when people had good manners.

We didn't need political correctness when people were brought up to treat people with respect.

I think that died in the 80s.

Or 70s.

Perhaps it died in the 60s actually - who knows?
SP, goodness! You’re beginning to sound like AOG. ;o)

The effects of political correctness extend far wider than the expectation of good manners.
Ummmm....In the course of my work, I met a family earlier this month, who had a lovely little 2 year old boy, and they called him STIXX ( yes, 2 x's )

When I politely asked where did they get the name from, they told me that they had made it up, because "it sounded nice" I was going to explain that it sounded very like the name of one of the rivers in Hades, but I thought that they might not appreciate it ! So that bonny little boy is now faced with going through life with a daft name, because he had daft parents.
I've just googled the names of Will Smith's children and they all have a ranking. Willow is ranked #69 in the UK. Jayden is ranked #37. Trey is only ranked in the US. So they aren't really strange names.
Life was only easier for white English speaking Caucasians. If you could go back to the 1950's as a black or Asian immigrant coming into the UK you may change your mind.

It is only enjoyable because the usual suspects have turned it into something completely out of all recognition to my original post, by a series of childish remarks, condemnations towards a certain newspaper and anyone who dares to enter it's web-site to find a news story to put up for debate, and the usual trolling from a certain ABer

If some find all this entertaining it speaks volumes for their intelligence, I wonder from what paper they gather their 'intelligence' from?

This subject of Argos and the three dolls was discussed last night on a late night radio show.

A black person phoned in and stated that he agreed it was racist and that it was nothing unusual because black people were forever being cast in such negative ways.

He then went on to say where are all the black super heroes, such as Superman, Batman, Spider-man, Thor, Wonder-Woman, they are all white, I say they may well be underneath their costumes, but really????

He then went on to mentioned the music scene regarding pop videos when he went on to criticise the female backing groups by asking "why are they always white or lighter black skinned women"? Yet I have noticed plenty of black backing singers, in fact most of them who harmonise in the background are black, females and males.

Yes this person seemed to be one twisted up cookie, who seemed to have a problem with the colour of his skin, why have some such a complex regarding their skin colour, are they not proud to be black?

What an unusual combination in this day and age.A black, homosexual, fascist!! I am sure the "thick" D.M. and Express untermenschen readers will follow your every word from now on! What an effing prig.
Oh for the times when life's biggest problem was how to fell a woolly mammoth!

I know some of the things that went on were not acceptable, but they chose to come to this country, and should have expected to take the rough with the smooth, just like those from Britain who chose to pay £10 and emigrate to Australia, they were not actually welcomed with open arms from the Aussies.

What was that you were saying about my spellchecker the other day?

"they were not actually welcomed with open arms from the Aussies"
...that's because they whinged a lot, a bit like you do ;-)

Very true AOG,

My brother & his wife went in the 60s, and came back for the same reason.

Both are acceptable by the spell-checker, unlike spellchecker as you put.

It has really got to you regarding the way you were pull up over a certain remark you made and then went on to blame it on your spell-checker.

/// "they were not actually welcomed with open arms from the Aussies"

And some of our ethnic minorities don't whinge a lot also???? Right.

By the way, putting a smiley at the end of a personal insult, does not invalidate that insult.
It's not an insult Mr G, it's (it is) an observation ;-)
The smiley was not supposed to "invalidate", it was there to add an edge of humour, if you choose to see it differently, that's your issue.
It "got" to me because your spelling and grammar are FAAAAAAR worse than mine, please don't deny it, I don't want to have to trawl through loads of your rantings to copy/paste examples.
Yes, some of our ethnic minorities do complain, the difference is that they have had to suffer years of the most diabolical prejudice violence and oppression. There was a time when Australia's white population was a 'minority' but that seems to have switched around, I wonder why.

/// You don't need to look for pictures of teenage girls.

The Daily Mail collates them for you.

I have literally just done a quick scan to see whether I could back this up.

Today the paper presents Willow Smith (aged 14), under the heading:

WILLOW SMITH, 14, WHIPS UP A FRENZY ONLINE WITH PROVOCATIVE NUDE PHOTO ///

Well I did a quick trawl to find out about this, but couldn't come across it so I googled it and came across this,

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2922452/Willow-Smith-14-whips-frenzy-online-provocative-nude-photo.html

It all makes sense now the Daily Mail was reporting a fact about a certain person who happened to be black was doing something inappropriate for a 14 year old girl of any colour skin.

That is why SP1813 happened upon this.

Just thought I would provide the evidence, seeing that our SP has a certain thing about skin colours and the Daily Mail.

Although it is not below him to constantly trawl it's site and also use it at times.

"SP has a certain thing about skin colours and the Daily Mail".
So does the Daily Mail! It is IMO a white supremacist rag.

Oh please do, while you are busy carrying out that operation, you will leave others to get on with their debates without being constantly interrupted by trolls such as you.
Can't remember ever seeing a black or asian person in the east coast of Scotland when I was growing up. We did however have a collection in school every week (think it was 6d) for the "black babies". Puzzled me as a child.
