I think it is ghoulish to watch these videos.

This is someone's child who is being murdered. Watching it would be on a par with watching a child being raped.

I have an extremely low opinion of anyone who actively seeks out and watches this video.
with SP on that. The description of this OP is enough. Why watch something like that?
I will modify my last post slightly. I can see the thought that, if those who have sympathy with the ISIS were to watch what is being done by them, then it may change their sympathies. There are many practical issues and side effects though as already stated, and so isn't a realistic suggestion.

Maybe just stating the, "If you were to watch you'd change your mind", thought may be useful. I don't know in practice.
Those sympathetic with ISIS, I mean really sympathetic, would probably find this video if anything a reason to even more seriously consider joining up. What better motivation can there be to join than how effectively their enemies are dispatched?
I don't think it should've been shown. The ISIL will just LOVE all this freebie publicity.
\\\\Should The Video Of The Jordanian Pilot Be Watched\\\

No.......that sounds like an edict.....an order.

Should the video be available to those who wish to watch it, for various reasons, then yes and if it is available, then how can one stop them watching it.

I would rather like to see it.
Sqad - "I would rather like to see it."

If you are serious - can you explain why?
I have reservations regards authorities censoring what I choose to watch, or in this case not watch. It's difficult to see how a cowardly act of sadism and slaughter on defenceless captives amounts to enemies being dispatched. But you never know what goes through some folk's minds.

What this really needs is for the 'Arab world' to get together and agrees to achieve a military victory over ISIS between them, in some way (don't ask me I'm no military expert). Then they could ask for aid for the military push from the rest of the world and minimise the effect of any ridiculous claim that the "nasty West" is imposing their requirements on Muslims.
andy.........yes, I am serious.........I have never seen anyone hanged, electrocuted, shot, beheaded and no, I cannot explain why.

I suppose i would like to put it down to experience.......part of my CV so to speak.

I do not know how I would react or what effect it would have on me.
anneasquith, //Naomi. have you watched the video ?//

No, I haven’t – and I’ve no intention of watching it. I know what they did – that’s enough for me.
My worry about people watching it would be that they may become desensitized to the horror of it and I don`t think that`s a good thing. It`s also very good propaganda for IS so I don`t think it should even exist on the internet.
OG
Good luck on getting the Arab world to get together and come to an agreement on anything. To much in-fighting and tribal feuds, war lords etc etc. No cohesion among any of them. They couldn't chant the same words together from the Koran.

\\\\ It`s also very good propaganda for IS so I don`t think it should even exist on the internet.\\\

I would have thought the exact opposite. it being BAD propaganda for ISIS as it has engendered total worldwide repulsion and hat of that organisation.
Sqad - "andy.........yes, I am serious.........I have never seen anyone hanged, electrocuted, shot, beheaded and no, I cannot explain why.

Interesting.

I cannot claim to follow your thinking on this.
That`s probably what they want Sqad. They want to world to be horrified - they are saying "Look at us, look what we can do and you can`t stop it" Just my opinion, though.
Point taken retro, but any nation should be able to see a threat to their independence/authority, I would have hoped. ISIS aren't going to stop anytime soon. On wonders what diplomatic conversations are going on in the background.
I'm not sure if the ISIS would see this as bad or good publicity, I doubt if they even care. As naomi keeps pointing out these people have a totally different mindset to us. They have but one thought, Islamic world domination, nothing less will do. It matters not a jot whether we like them or not.

There are occasions when it's not enough to be told something, you do have to see it for yourself to appreciate the full horror. I don't know if this is one of those times, and I'm not going to take too much trouble to hunt down this video myself, but I don't think it's fair to criticise people like Piers Morgan for watching the video as being ghoulish or to have a low opinion of them.
OG

Wouldn't have thought much in the way of diplomacy being discussed. More like chicanery and jiggery pokery behind the scenes. I have been led to believe, on other OP's on this site, that the Saudi's are funding ISIS. Just look at their smart new desert fatigues and pretty yellow balaclavas.Their fire power and materiale seems pretty in exhaustive as well.
