//I have seen the full video, I certainly would NOT recommend anybody watch it, sick in the extreme!!//
Could a mod please remove my first post, I really dont want people to watch that on my first mistaken post!!
RATTER.

So why did you watch it?
//They have but one thought, Islamic world domination, nothing less will do. It matters not a jot whether we like them or not.//

Their ISIL view of Islamic world domination, not that of the bulk of Muslims at individual or state level. It's about time Iran and Saudi twinned up and stopped this mayhem by whatever means possible.
Sqad, I wont go into why I watched it, I will just be criticised for it whatever I say. But it really is a disgusting thing to see!!
RATTER OK....your opinion is highly rated because from what i have read on this thread, you are the only one to have seen it. You have experienced this act and have come to a conclusion, unlike others who have made up their minds without seeing it and would want to remove that choice from others.
jim360 - "There are occasions when it's not enough to be told something, you do have to see it for yourself to appreciate the full horror. I don't know if this is one of those times ..."

I cannot see how anyone would benefit from seeing this barbaric piece of work.

I recall when 911 happened, and the media constantly re-ran film footage of the planes hitting the towers. I psychologist on Radio Four opined that not only was nothing gained by this, but that it was actually bad for people to constantly see these dreadful images.

I cannot see any merit of any kind in seeing this film.

"... but I don't think it's fair to criticise people like Piers Morgan for watching the video as being ghoulish or to have a low opinion of them."

I do think Piers Morgan was ghoulish, but I don't have a low opinion of him - just his action in this circumstance.

He claims it enabled him to reach a specific level of anger which he feels he would not have experienced without seeing the video.

That compares with banging your head repeatedly on a wall to experience a certain level of pain - yes it works, but why would you feel the need to do it? Exactly what purpose is served?

I await your thoughts.
I think it should be available for people to view, but I certainly would advise against viewing it unless you are up to being shocked and distressed.

It is very easily found for those that wish to see it.
Sqad - "RATTER OK....your opinion is highly rated because from what i have read on this thread, you are the only one to have seen it....

I would suggest that Ratter's opinion is more informed, but I would not agree that it is highly rated - it is still an opinion, and we all have them.

andy...once again you are going around in circles.

The facts are clear, some people want to see the video and some don't.

The reasons for this are immaterial.
Sqad

I have never watched a video of a cat being skinned alive, however without seeing such a video, I can tell you with some degree of certainty that I would not ever want to see something like that.

Same goes for this video times a thousand.
sp.......I agree with your post.

This isn't a cat it is a human being and for me, it would be interesting to see what happens to a human being when being burned alive.
Are you going to watch it Sqad? Go on, you know you want to. Then you can report back.
Sqad - "The facts are clear, some people want to see the video and some don't.

The reasons for this are immaterial."

I entirely disagree - I think the reasons are entirely material.

To me, they belong in the same category as asking someone if they would like to won a handgun. If they say 'Yes', I am immediately curious to know why.

And I am curious here too - it's not immaterial as far as I can see.
237....yes, as i have said now twice on this thread, i would like to watch it.

Reporting back? ...on AB?..........I can get into trouble saying "Good morning."...;-)

Off to my Club now, but i bet it is still "raging" on my return.
Sqad

I have to say - many many years ago, I saw a video of an execution, a very brutal execution, out of sheer curiosity and immediately regretted it. That was about 20 years ago, and to this day the imagery is still pin sharp In my head. Once you have it, you never get rid of it. I urge you in the strongest terms not to go to those dark places on the Internet.

I would not describe such videos as 'stomach churning'...they are more 'mind churning'.

Just seeing that one many years ago informed my opinion of anyone who seeks them out. So yes, I admit hypocracy, but it's informed hypocracy.
If you want to know that, Sqad, then perhaps it's better to content yourself with this one:

Sqad - "This isn't a cat it is a human being and for me, it would be interesting to see what happens to a human being when being burned alive."

Maybe you were at the back of the queue when the imaginations were being given out?
