chance would be a fne thing..if only
/they should return to crapistan.//
I find that comment offensive.
/// Underneath a picture of the Australian flag, the caption on the vest read "If you don't love it, leave". ///

/// The slogan could be read as a hostile message aimed at immigrant groups in the country, and that's how it was taken by Mariam Veiszadeh. She's a lawyer, and prominent advocate for the Muslim community in Australia. ///

Well it would wouldn't it, but she is completely wrong, it was not aimed at "immigrant groups in the country" it was aimed at those in Australia who don't love their country, represented by it's flag.
The story isn't about the vest or the slogan on it - it is the hate people poured on this woman for speaking out against it.

Petty vindictive hateful people, thankfully others are strongly against that vitriol.

This thread is about the vest and the ridiculous reaction to it.
I totally agree with the t-shirt slogan but it's not aimed at Muslims, it's aimed at anyone who chooses to live there and then moans. The fuss has erupted because it's been assumed it's aimed at Muslims.
// it is the hate people poured on this woman for speaking out against it. //

It isnt only that she spoke out about it she used social media to get, what is really not offensive to any particular group, pulled from the shelves. Now when social media is used against her she whines.

She had no need to take offence. It is quite clear that any muslim, jew, christian, black, white, purple is for their country then they are not included.

Clearly if this woman is offended she must include herself as one who is not behind Australia and has whipped up the brainwashed hordes to fulfill her own sense of indignation.

True, it has now degenerated into the far right extremists taking action, but are they any less extreme than her? You reap what you sow, as she is finding out.

aog

it was aimed at those in Australia who don't love their country, represented by it's flag.

As a lawyer one would of thought she would of realised that there are two sides to a story. You know Defence and Prosecution etc. Still I suppose under Sharia law!!!!
Perhaps Woolworths should of printed that slogan on Burkahs as well to level the field
Maybe next year's fashion will be Burkahs with "If you don't like the way we are changing your country you can go elsewhere" printed on them.
Svejk, you must expect some reaction from the ***.
you jest retrocop but that is actually their aim.

You and I, the infidel, should be eliminated.
Well - I was not to know that your thread and the link differed in content, so I shall depart there.

Name a decent muslim country and I'll be happy to retract it.

Unfortunately I wasn't jesting. World supremacy and caliphates are the rule.
svejk,

Please refrain from using "sigh" as your title in this section. It makes things confusing :-)

thanks
