More problem in Rotherham but this time committed by a different group, when will it end, and are our police now so overstretched by such things, that they tend to close a blind eye?

And he accuses me of being daft and making up storys!!!!.
Where due you get your facts Gromit?
Morning Star?
I looked up the official figures, not some dodgy Channel Four report.
Have you a link please for your official figures?
//A 2009 report previously estimated that there were at least 49,000 Roma living in England. But this week Channel 4 News quoted a much larger number. It referenced a new study from the University of Salford that suggests there are close to 200,000 Roma who call the UK home. And – according to the authors of this research – this is a “conservative” figure.

Official data is severely lacking – and any attempt to estimate the number of Roma in the UK is reliant on sampling or modelling. While the government records the nationality of migrants, it doesn’t collect information on their ethnic origin. So all we have to go on is ad-hoc estimates produced by the government and others.

The researchers behind the study surveyed the UK’s local authorities to produce their estimate. A third of LAs responded with data, citing school censuses and voluntary sector organisations among their sources of information. The researchers then used their data to model the situation in other areas of the country where there were no figures available. //

So the 200,000 figure is an ad-hoc estimate based on a survey of local authorities that only a third responded to.
Just looked up the Salford University Report.

http://www.salford.ac.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/363118/Migrant_Roma_in_the_UK_final_report_October_2013.pdf

There are 406 Local Authorities in the UK.
They 151 Local Authorities returned the survey.
Of those returning the survey, 53% were not aware of any Roma in their area.

Which is a figure more to be trusted than the speculation of a ABer, even if he is a MOD.

Incidentally was it in fact you who chose to delete all my answers?

That may well be true but that doesn't prove that figure is wrong, it just proves that some areas are more densely populated by them.

*** The majority of the population, 183,000, are believed to live in England. Yorkshire and Humber, London, the North West and the Midlands have been identified as areas where there are large number of Roma living. ***
With all this free movement in the EU can there be many Roma left in Romania?
You won't beat lefty on statistics, retro. Only figures that support their position are 'correct'.
The other day I put up an ONS page saying the gov. had issued 187,000 NI No's to Romanians & Bulgarians in 2014, yet still they insisted 'their' much lower BBC figure was correct because the BBC only uses 'official figures'.
So, you see, no matter how stupid it makes them look, they'd rather look stupid than ever admit to being wrong. (which is very surprising as history proves them wrong about everything, always.)
Svekj

That is not what happened. You tried to pass the 187,000 figure as new immigrants since 1st Jan 2014 and in reality it was all the Romanians who had come since 2006 when Romanian joined the EU, applying for a NI number (they previously weren't allowed one).

Yes I can see that.It was suggested yesterday by a leftie I shouldn't post a comment on a thread as a result of media information I had read? How on earth can this News section work if topics are not taken from the media and posters debate using information from the media. We must either go out to Syria and report back the facts as you have seen it or rely on a newspaper article whereby a reporter has actually done.On the other hand if you say something a leftie disagrees with he will get your answer removed as aog keeps finding out recently.
the police are frightfully busy on Hampstead Heath arresting editors with tripods

Was that link intended for this post?
I said the gov. estimated a third of them were already here, which WAS what the gov. estimated. So I didn't 'try to pass' anything. Nice try, though.
Retro, if I might, I'd suggest you join some Muslim 'charities'. They will supply you with cheap/free travel next time you want to reference a Syrian story. ;)

The problem with blatantly lying on a forum like this, is that your words are recorded for everyone to look back on. This is what you wrote in your question...

// In view of this week's figures that 187,000 have indeed flooded in from those 2 countries in 12 months //

retrocop, the OP inquired whether the police were overstretched. I said they were. They are on photographer alert. You can decide for yourself whether this is an efficient use of their time and personpower.
/// That was the number of N.I. No's issued. The gov are guesstimating a third of them were already here but, of course, it's in their interest to minimise immigration figures. Make of that what you will. ///

You should have scrolled down a little, gromit. lol.
It's illegal to take pictures for publication there. You'd think the Guardian would know that, wouldn't you?
