And these words have not been spoken by some Far-Right racist bigoted fascist, these are the words of the former chairman of Commission for Racial Equality who also happens to be black, so surely there is no reason for anyone to disbelieve him, can they?

I did not say that UKIP supporters are dim.
I said I think they're dim.
The difference is that they might be very politically astute; they may have weighed the pros and cons of their political allegiances - but I have no evidence to support that. That's why I think they're dim - because every time I hear their views, I think, "Wow...you're really dim".
Just my opinion - in the same way that I've been accused of being aloof/out of touch/a member of the chatteratti etc etc...no skin off my nose, because I honestly don't think I am.
Every political party has an image. Labour supporters have an image of being hell bent on a liberal agenda without thought of how this affects the country as a whole.
Tory voters have an image of being good with money, bad with the poor.
Green voters have the image of being away with the fairies.
And UKIP supporters (to me) are as dim as a box of hair.

You asked:
Are you going to hand out one of your labels to Sir Trevor Philips as a racist, bigoted, moron or are you going to defend his views as an honest black educated man who isn't dim.
I take it that you missed the first page of this thread, where I wrote:
I think that Mr Phillips makes some very valid points and has pointed out some very disturbing truths about all races that people are loathe to confront (see his comments on the causes of crime for white, black and Asians - uncomfortable reading).

[i]Don't suppose,as you are one who feels he is free to give labels to those who you do not agree with you to have a loud voice and air their views, you would object if someone who described you as "a sailor boy who enjoys dropping his anchor in poo bay"[i]
Let's be honest - I think we both know how much regard we hold each other's views in.
In the same way that I am sure that everything I could ever say to you would occupy less than 0.01% of your attention, the same would go for me if anyone said that about me as a gay man.
There are more important things in life really...aren't there?

Course not. There is no such thing as a back pedalling Black homosexual who drops his anchor in poo bay/harbour either.Being a bit picky aren't you.Harbour/bay? Matter of opinion isn't it? Not happy that a man of the same colour as yourself has been saying what lots of people in this country have been saying for ages but have felt they have been stifled by the likes of you?Face it.Mr Philips is correct in all that he says and he is also black. You think that you are so smart that you can twist what you said. UKIP supporters, which I am not, are dim!
You are wriggling.Retrochic does not need my intervention to support her party politics but I can assure you that she does not appear dim to me in her views and support of the party of her choice without the need for you to label her as dim.You are out of order in this regard.

No.I didn't miss that at all.But hitherto if I had said the same thing you would happily put your labels on me.Now a black man states his views you believe he makes "valid points"

As I said before - on AB, people come with baggage. I've seen posts and questions from you and with my prior knowledge of your views, I've reached a couple of conclusions about you which will inform my reaction to all of your posts.
It's the same with me, AOG, Gromit, andy_hughes, Orderlimit, New Judge, divebuddy and all the other regular contributors to AB's News section.
There are those to whom I give 'leeway' and will listen to because they have posted opposing views to mine that are well argued and thoughtfully explained.
And then there are those whose whom I cons 'background' noise.
No doubt I am in the 'background noise' category of some in the News section- that's not a big deal.

Out of interest - if you didn't miss what I wrote on the first page of this thread, why did you write:

It certainly looks as if you overlooked my sentiments...!?!!

Incidentally, I think it's very tacky to try and draw Retrochic into this, however by doing so, you've highlighted a major flaw in my position.
...because Retrochic is someone I hold in high regard on this site (remember my apologies to her when I got you and her mixed up on a previous thread)?

You sound a quite well educated man.I assume you were educated in this country of birth and were raised in a stable family environment. You seem to have done well for yourself in life and all due credit to you.
How long have we had to have the blame attached to the white population for the failures and misdeeds of the black community until now.
Please take the time to read the link which I read sometime ago.
http:// www.dai lymail. co.uk/n ews/art icle-.. .
Why do the black community not shoulder the blame for their own failures in this country and use us as scapegoats. How many times do we see crying black single mothers saying their are too many black youngsters being fatally shot or stabbed on the streets of London by their own peers.
They weren't crying when their offspring were out dealing drugs, rioting, pillaging and fire raising.
When a white man was wrongly shot and pistol whipped in Earls Court Road by the Metropolitan Police you didn't see white people gathering en masse looting and pillaging.
It seems when a black person is fatally injured it is not the done thing to hold a dignified candle lit vigil.No.No currency in that.As quick as Leroy on a rocket they are town the town centre running amok and looting.
And we are held responsible for that.
For too long the truth has been muted but now some brave people put their head above the parapet and tell us how it really is.Mr Philips and the four black ladies in the link I have provided.
Perhaps a few more responsible black fathers would solve this tension that the black community creates for itself.
Have to go now. Off the Royal Marsden for 10am appointment. We can continue later if you wish.
