I'm surprised aog hasn't pointed out that it's the Black country... but dearie me, that is pretty machiavellian. From the point of view of the Tories, it's reprehensible that he's making private deals with rival parties, especially while they're busy insisting they won't go into coalitions, and no doubt Labour would respond the same way.
How is it skullduggery? This is a highly marginal seat, and if I were the candidate whose success or failure depended on a small minority, I would be kissing their butts.
I have just heard a recording of the conversation on Broadcasting House this morning. Its so stupid....how on earth did he think he was going to get away with it ?
‘Tory skulduggery’ is a rather misleading. The Tories haven’t resorted to skulduggery here – this one man has – and the party has done the right thing in suspending him.
