Pact! And I'll try my hardest not to rub your nose in it if you're wrong.

Much:-)
The thought of that dreadful Salmond man and (wee burney) Sturgeon cosying up to Minibrain is my worst nightmare. The world is going mad.
Always glad of a scrap LB !
Scotland is probably the key.

If the SNP get 40+ seats at the expense of Labour, but some LibDems then the SNP will probably be kingmaker. If the SNP don't do as well as expected and get 25ish seats, then the LibDems will come third and be kingmaker.

But if first and second is close (Lab or Con), and third and fourth is close (LibDem or SNP), then we might be in the pisition where we have a 3 way coalition (Lab, LibDem, SNP) as per my previous post.
Who cares?
We will be ripped off whoever wins.
Zero inflation thanks to the conservatives belt tightening measures.
They need to be returned with a working majority in order to continue their excellent work.
Forget the fact that your grandfather was a miner and your dad a trendy socialist and that they have passed their prejudice on to you.
Forget the single cause parties you might want to support for whatever reason.
See the fact that many party leaders are motivated by nothing other than self-aggrandisement and do the only thing that gives this country half a chance of completing the climb out of this morass that it is in now.

Return a Blue government - they may not be perfect but they are the best bet we have.
Best answer yet Shoota.
And so say all of us ^^^^
Bang on the mark shoota.
Both grandfathers miners.
Father definitely not a Socialist.
Why should I accept their prejudices?
I will vote for whoever does the
least damage.
Shoota would like you to take on his prejudices Daisy:-)

Reluctantly I do to. SNP will play a nihilistic role in the english parliament given half a chance and the Tories are the one party who will have no truck with them.
I suspect Mr Salmond would quite like a Tory government as it's the best spur for Scottish Nationalists. And the SNP are also very useful to Cameron as he can use them wholly unjustifiably but plausibly to Joe Public in Middle England as in league with Labour.
Mr Salmond and his successor succeeded in putting me right off Scottish Nationalism. Cameron's arrogant dismissal of the TV debates and the whole dishonesty that accompanied is also disappointing.
Add to that the attraction by many to the xenophobic UKIP and the frankly barmy Green Party and I'm afraid I would probably see a LabDem coalition as a form of asylum against the madness. What one wants and what will happen of course are not the same which is why I voted for minority Tory govt

Morning,

Just remind everyone, Nicola Sturgeon is the leader of the SNP, not Alex Salmond - it would be she who is the kingmaker in a coalition requiring the SNP.

Gromit - I suppose that is possible. I don't like putting "none of the above" on there unless Brewster is running though.

Not necessarily. Salmond would be in the UK Parliament not Sturgeon. Comparable perhaps to Ireland where Sinn Fein's leader sits in Dáil Éireann but takes a back seat in politics in the North

Ah, I hadn't thought that through!
