Will Scotland Vote Snp?
With the concern in the rest of the country about the SNP potentially holding sway over a Labour government, something’s puzzling me. Since the outcome of the Scottish referendum was ‘No to independence’, will the majority of electorate there, who don’t want independence, vote against the SNP in the forthcoming elections?

1 - They are a left leaning party, and the Scots voters are left leaning.
2 - They only care about Scotland, so everything they do will be aimed at improving the lot of the people in Scotland.
3 - They could be well be in a position of holding the majority party to ransom after the election, so they will be able to deliver real results on point 2, effectively getting the rest of the UK to fund their socialist aspirations even more so than is the case at present.
4 - They can't make Scotland independent, they can only arrange for another referendum in a few years, at which point all the lapsed Labour voters can vote 'no' again, and carry on with the current state of affairs rather than being faced with the prospect of having to pay for it all themselves.

So the same rhetoric is being aimed at Sturgeon as was lashed at Salmond.
When anyone has to resort to personal insults then they are running scared.
I doubt if she'll lose sleep.
As addendum, as it would appear to be acceptable for TTT to continually refer to us Scots as 'Sweaties' can we now refer to Chinese citizens as 'Chinkies' and residents of Pakistans as 'Pakis' without any comeback?

We are funded by the tax we pay into the pot.
It's divvied out per capita.Over simplified but fact at the end of the day.
I've always been brought up to believe that your politics are personal.
Personally? I wouldn't ever be swayed by anyone begging me to vote for any party. It's insulting and to be honest after the referendum a tad boring now.

me neither kylesmum...but then I am able to assimilate the facts...and make an informed decision...not everyone does and gets carried away with what I call the braveheart syndrome !
Devolution is good for Scotland and we have a fair amount of autonomy...separation and independence would be a disaster !

I'm able to assimilate the facts as well and I by no means wear rose tinted specs but continually bashing someones personality and/or looks to attempt to drive home a point doesn't make for good and fair political debate. For the record I don't mean you but others on AB have.It shows a distinct lack of fiscal knowledge.
I would say, again as an addendum, that more Scots would have voted for Devomax but we'll never know. However anyone 'bashing' Sturgeon should know she may be SNP but she is / was a very exceptional, successful Lawyer and is by no means a walkover, nor is she indiscreet.
They picked the wrong person to tell porkies about.
I'll enjoy debating with you in the weeks to come MM :)

I don't think it's fair either btw Jackdaw.
Wasn't always the case. I'm astonished that more English residents don't kick up about the raw deal they're getting rather than blaming others.
We get free scripts, tuition, tolls, in fact I struggle to think of what we do pay for.
Kick up...make a stink, they must listen to you, your share of the taxes are being misspent.
Scotland survives perfectly well on our share, which we do pay into ! It's just budgeted better. Don't call us canny Scots for nothing ;)
