Home Office is meant to be the graveyard of reputations - look at Charles Clarke, a year apparently and Jack Straw - " oops I did law but not International Law...."
The one I have it in for is the DPP
crap decision after crap decision and she explains
'the system is meant to work like that '
and people go: " o... yeah ... ok "

// Think about it. There shouldn't have to be a child abuse inquiry!! In this inquiry how many of the accused are women? //
None is the triumphant asnwer !
Oh dear dear since we know that child abuse by women IS an issue, this means that it is being ignored
[ altho I have to say having an abuse inquiry about an abuser who is dead whilst refusing to have an inquiry about someone who is still alive -but in the House of Lords DOES strike me as nuts - but then I am a man ]

Plenty of people in politics make mistakes - and in the private sector. Having worked in both the public and private sector I don't think it's anything to do with being male or female, just human nature. Of course if you're in politics then your every move is reported on. Raise your hand if you're perfect!
