Randy Marsh, a detector van can detect houses operating TVs. They check against a database of license holders and if you haven't bought one, possibly as a protest against the leftie propaganda being rammed down your throat, you'll get the visit from the BBC Stazi wanting to know why.
Detector vans only used to be able to "detect" our of one side of the vehicle, so in streets which were too narrow to turn in people on the "right side" would be immune from it.
I am sure the Stasi were a lot more efficient in their day
jim360 /// I've mentioned it before but I'll say it here as well. For whatever reason I was listening to a phone-in on Radio Five. The first caller criticised the BBC for its blatant left-wing bias. The second caller was full of disgust at how much right-wing bias there obviously was at the BBC.///
It's called 'call screening', jim. It's astounding how many 'random callers' affirm the BBC line.
I'm just appalled at the lack of 'middle of the road' bias exhibited by the BBC.
(That's the British Broadcasting Corporation not the adult entertainment version of BBC....)
The BBC is disgusting nest of progressive(lol) Marxist vipers.
Pro EU, Labour, Climate Change, mass immigration, Islamists. All Marxist memes.
There's c.300 posts a day detailing BBC bias on this site;

One of dozens of such sites.

Does it not occur to you that the audience of such a programme is self-selecting? People on the right would avoid tuning in, much less calling to have a moan about bias. (Well done to those who did, against their tastes).
Or, or, or… don't tell me… the "right wing bias" callers were all leftie stooges, right?
So, who was it who revealed to me what Stalin did to the Polish aristocracy?
Was it the BBC? Why, yes it was.
Perhaps Stalin wasn't even left wing. He certainly murdered more people than Hitler. Just another fascist and oligarch, I suspect.
Calling someone a Stalinist is a deep, deep insult (worse than Hitler) and should not be used as a casual slap to broadcasting staff. There are plenty of other terms of abuse which you can use instead.
There is an entire series, called Ripoff Britain which is all about the unscrupulous practices of businesses as small as self-employed domestic contractors or as large as number one retailer.
Clearly biased against the concept of free enterprise, therefore: Left-Wing bias.
// Note the number of removed posts in the 26th Feb 2010 thread. Was this Left-Wing or Right-Wing bias on behalf of the AnswerBanker's moderators? //
All those disappeared a couple of months later when the AB Editor BANNED NEdeskWS. All that users past posts were removed included all those in that thread.
