So you stupid girls the grass is not greener on the other side?
You made your bed live with it, we do not want your kind back here.

//I have explained many times why I believe the belief that this is 'my country' to say who will and who will not live here is arrogant and futile - I am yet to be convinced by any argument or opinion to the contrary.// andy-hughes just a question when does it stop though at the country or do your beliefs continue to your own house? Do you lock your doors when you go out...

So this is the reason that attracts them?

/// Instead of the life they have been promised – as fighters alongside ISIS militants – many foreign recruits end up as cooks or maids. ///

I think what attracts them is a huge level of naiivity, coupled with misplaced idealism, and an overdeveloped sense of a need to belong and be significant in the world.
Put simply - it's about being a teenager, with all the rash and wrong-headed decisions that come with that time.
But of course, some have far more serious consequences than others.

/// They may well have been traumatised by what they've witness while abroad. Will provision be made to offer them counselling when they return? ///
They must have been the only ones in the UK, that were not aware of what was taking place in that country they chose to 'emigrate' to.
As regards to the provision of counselling when they get back, save our money Mrs May and don't allow them back.

The Corbyloon - //If their return and rehabilitation meant they could persuade someone from making the decision to join ISIS, would you not be in favour of that? //
An excellent point.
I think, when dealing with countries which we do not see, and which are abstract concepts to us, and hear about people whom we do not know - it is very easy to take a simplistic viewpoint - such as refusing re-entry or any sort of rehabilitation to these girls.
But I think we have to look at the wider consequences of these actions.
Apart from the somewhat heartless position of simply abandoning these girls because they were idealistic and naiive - as Corby advises, there is every chance that an experience of ISIS from those who have been there and seen it and lived it, would carry far more weight with their peer groups in terms of preventing similar acctions, than would the lecturing of white middle class people who simply want to wash their hands of people who behave in a stupid and immature way.

I am surprised, if not shocked, at the head-heartedness being shown here. As far as we know they have done no harm to anyone but themselves, they have made a dreadful mistake and they could, if captured, be beheaded or stoned to death, and yet some of you seem quite sanguine about that.

They are old enough to Marry, they chose to Marry/cohabit with Terrorists now they want to come back. If one or two of them happen to be pregnant they will get a house and benefits funded by the Taxpayer. And how long before some misguided Government Official decides they have a right to family life and allows the Terrorist husband/father of child to join them, we really want that???

What if they are pregnant?
The NHS will have to pay for their births, social services will see that they get the correct benefits, the Local Authority will provide them with a house, and then when they are nicely settled in, they will apply to have their husbands flown over to be with them, since they have a right to a family life.
