I said it was mad when it ws first announced and that In the end we'd have to do it, it seems increasingly likely that the 2022 tournement will be in UK.

could be, the facilities are here. But England may be getting up other countries' noses by suggesting they have some right to it; at least the Americans are the ones who've actually done something abut the corruption rather than just complaining. Who makes the decision?

Who knows ? I reckon that unless one can show without doubt evidence that corruption is the reason it went there (and I understand plenty try bribes and still don't win) then it would cause a lot of ill feeling to move it now. Especially since previous years winners may have got away with it. Might be best to draw a line and ensure it doesn't continue from now on.

Unlikely,as Russia has the 2018 World Cup and as far as I am aware, Rules state consecutive Tournements can't be held on the same Continent. Stupid Rule IMO.

There's probably nothing any more corrupt about 2022 than there is about 2018.
Qatar has copped it because of additional factors such as culture, politics and climate, lack of football tradition etc etc which make it so undesirable and unlikely a venue that surely nefarious financial transactions must have happened
But we already know for a fact that the Russians bribed FIFA officials.
The only things on their side are time - the draw is next month although that is not necessarily a clincher, and all the adverse publicity Qatar has had

The rule about staging the tournament on alternate continents is, imho, a perfectly fair one. Would European fans be happy if the next 3 were staged in, say, Argentina, New York then Mexico?

And when you remember that our bid cost anything between £15m and £21m (depending upon which report you are reading), it is difficult to believe that our FA are 100% squeaky clean. How is that amount of money spent on a 'bid' without one or two palms being greased?

If it's not in Qatar, it's more likely to be in the USA or Australia. They have the stadia, just as we do, and they were involved in the original bidding.

Russia is in Asia and there is no rule anyway merely a tradition. Even if there was a rule FIFA ignore them anyway.

Tora, the 'rule' or convention, or whatever, regarding World Cups, refers to Associations, not simple geography. Geographically Russia is certainly in both Asia and Europe, no one would argue with that. Although all the Russian World Cup venues are in Europe, which is something at least
Israel is a member of the EBU so qualifies for Eurovision. They lays get to play in European Qualifiers for the World Cup for presumably security reasons

On a slight tangent, what did Qatar intend to do with all the stadia after the event anyway?
