Op -I don't think as a black person (which I'm not) that I would be offended by someone trying to look like an ethnic minority. Perhaps this woman has emotional problems brought on by the fact her parents adopted a black boy and maybe he got special treatment? The worst scenario is that she got her present position as NAACP leader through deceit. They say copying is the best form of flattery but in this case I'm not so sure.

Not really offensive.Seems like a common personal dislike amongst mixed up American kids.Michael Jackson wanted to be white and this girl would rather portray herself as black. Must be a dilemma for the red necks to decide who is the Uncle Tom.

Does one have to be "black" to be a leader in a "black" pressure group ?

Or handicapped to be a leader in a handicapped pressure group ?

I'm unsure what the fuss is. If she wished to relate to a different race to herself, that's fine. We let folk imaging they've changed gender, should we be less accepting of folk who seem to wish to be of a different race ?

Offensive is what the individual decides they find offensive. It isn't justifiably so, but that won't prevent those who seem to be offended at everything.

AOG, looks to me like this girl is the result of a mixed race familly. I'm not saying anything is wrong and it is actually great her parents adopeted her brother but clearly this has led to issues with this woman.

I wonder if the parents lavished more attention on the brother leading her to think being black was better?

Either way she needs a shrink, not international condemnation.
