Should On-Duty Police Officers Decorate Themselves In Such A Way?

Recently British Muslim social and political activist Anjem Choudary questioned a police officer about a HELP FOR HEROES wristband that he was wearing.

I wonder what he would have to say about this.

With that kind of thinking, perhaps they should also black-up to prove they have no problem with blacks or perhaps the female officers should wear a Niqab to prove that they have no problems with Muslims?

I can't see the problem with the Police joining in the fun. By all reports, yesterday's Pride Day went off without any problems or trouble. It sounded like rather a fun day out to me.

But I am not remotely interested in what louse Choudary has to say about this topic, or any other. The horrible man can't walk straight, let alone talk straight. Best ignored, as much as possible.

The officers in the photograph may be gay. If they blacked up they wouldn't be black of if a lady constable wore a niqad she wouldn't necessarily be a follower of the Islamic faith.

I don't agree, Baldric. They should remain neutral day to day but not when policing an event like gaypride. It's joining in.

The Job requires wearing of a Uniform, the Uniform does not include Face Paint and a Pride Flag, they are not there to join in!

They are paid to police the event, if they want to join in then do it in their own time.

No,it's the other end of the scale to turning up in riot gear which would be seen as aggressive.
