Principle among thESE (and something I can never get my head around) are Thespians and assorted Luvvies who seem to be, almost exclusively with very few exceptions, staunch Socialists. Quite why anybody who, through their own endeavours, has managed to amass a few bob would continually support politicians intent on nicking it from them and giving it to the Great Unwashed is quite beyond my understanding.
From their own lips Gromit:
"What we want is to see established a society of common ownership and democratic control in which money, banks, finance etc will be redundant and so disappear, being replaced by 'from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs'. What socialism in its proper sense has always involved." - yes so show us the way......

These are rather cheap shots at the Socialist Party. They need premises as does any non profit organisation or charity. Are you saying that their activities should be curbed because you don't agree with them? They purchased their property 60 years ago, it is not their fault its value has rocketed. It's just a book figure, neither the organisation nor its members benefit from it. Would you condemn Battersea Dogs and Cats Home for occupying a London property worth much, much more?
