Do you really want your kids to have to look at people smoking?

Seeing something in real life has a far greater effect than seeing it on TV.
Anyway smoking on TV is subject to very strict controls it has to be portrayed in a 'negative' light. There are exceptions for old films and the like, but they form a very small part of overall coverage.
An old woman smoking on TV is never going to look cool to kids, I agree with eddie that growing up with smokers makes it seem normal and almost inevitable for some
Dot Cotton is now in jail for murder 'hardly a positive image!' She is not shown smoking any more!
The implication is 'smoke and you end up in jail' where as I said over 80% of inmates smoke!
ummm: "Well then the pub needs to sweep up more often. " - because smokers have no concept of litter? like most smokers ummm you are determined that your habit outranks anything else.
smoking anywhere in public should be banned..take it home and have it out with your family..do not impose your smoke on others ..wherever that may be...
