Palmyra's Baalshamin Temple 'blown Up By Is'
I read this with tears in my eyes.

Each time another of their atrocities raises its thoroughly ugly head I'm reminded of a line from the script of West Side Story .... "You're making this world rotten".

I think you are being a bit mean to Mikey though because I can see his point when you see threads like this http:// www.the answerb ank.co. uk/News /Questi on14405 89.html Where the first concern is the cost, not the person.
Monuments are replaceable, as long as we have the plans for them tragic as this is. This happens throughout history. Most cities have a destroyed abbey in them.
Maybe Mikey is asking us to show as much horror in the plight of the individuals we don't see, alongside the famous rocks that we do.
I sort of agree with him and I don't think it's too much out of the bounds of this question when ISIS are doing the destroying, whether it be monuments or people's lives.

Nor do any of these Naomi http:// www.the answerb ank.co. uk/News /Questi on14392 86.html I'm not usually stalkery like that but I know I've seen you on threads like this showing very little sympathy or empathy for human beings.
Your take on the thread I've linked for instance says deport them all. No thought is given for their circumstances in that case, so my original thought stands that Mikey had a point.

Quizproquo // I've seen you on threads like this showing very little sympathy or empathy for human beings.//
In relation to Naomi's perceived lack of sympathy or empathy you may need to research wider. Dig deeper and you will find evidence in her defence in relation to the Yazidi people for example who have suffered unimaginably at the hands of ISIS....

Quizproquo: the absurdity of your position is that by attempting to demonstrate some sort of moral high ground, you are determined to make a comparison between the destruction of ancient architecture and the plight of modern migrants, no such link exists, if you think there is one, please explain just what it is.
Then you're looking at the wrong threads then quizpro regarding Naomi not showing sympathy or empathy to other human beings. As AG has already said, the Yazidi women for a start and Malala Yousefzai and Merriam ??? spring to mind along with countless others who had acid thrown in their faces. And many more over the years too numerous to remember.
Regarding Mikey, this thread is about Palmyra's architecture and he went right off the subject, as have I now. Darn it.
